Scarborough Animal Hospital, located on the coast of Southern Maine, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our established and growing practice. This is a full-time position with a four-day Wednesday thru Saturday work week. No on-call or overnight shifts are required.
Scarborough Animal Hospital is a full service small animal hospital treating dogs, cats, rabbits and pocket pets. We have been an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Accredited Practice since 1974 and have been serving clients at the same convenient, easy to reach location for more than 6 decades. Our team is committed to educating clients on keeping their pets healthy year-round with good nutrition, exercise, and routine health examinations. Onsite facilities include ultrasound, endoscope, digital radiography and a well-outfitted in-house lab including IDEXX Catalyst, ProCyte and Sedivue machines.
The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of medical and surgical experience, however, candidates of all experience levels are welcome to apply. In addition to performing routine surgeries on a weekly basis, this individual will have the opportunity to receive training to perform lateral suture cruciate repairs. We have a large and growing small mammal clientele and routinely see rabbits, rodents, ferrets, hedgehogs and sugar gliders; experience working with small mammals and exotics is a plus. Other requirements include a positive attitude and strong skills in the areas of client communication, team communication and time management.
