Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services of Rochester, New York (VSES) is in need of a locum Emergency Veterinarian to provide support (at least 3-5 days at a time preferred), during the period of July – September 2018. We are the only 24/7/365 emergency and specialty referral veterinary hospital in the greater Rochester, New York region. Our 28,000-square foot facility, is equipped with on-site 1.5 Tesla Siemens Avanto MRI, 16-slice helical CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, surgical facilities and a 7 day a week full-service diagnostic laboratory. As a member of the VSES family, you will be working alongside our diverse and talented team including board-certified specialists in internal medicine, surgery, radiologneurology and dermatology. Our emergency service consists of eight attending clinicians, including 6 rotating interns and outstanding registered veterinary technicians and assistants.Specialized interns in medicine and surgery and as well as surgical residents are on call to provide additional support to the Emergency service as needed. We strive to provide exceptional quality of care and have the resources to make that a reality. To support our very busy practice, a Criticalist will be joining the team in October 2018. VSES is also recruiting for a cardiologist, ophthalmologist, and a radiologist.

Applicants should have a desire for a collaborative approach to healthcare, strong communication skills, excellent work ethic, ability to serve as a mentor and coach to interns, and a dedication to lifelong learning. Candidates must have completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine or have prior emergency experience.
