KVH is a three doctor, small animal practice on the southern coast of Maine. We’ve spent the last 30 years building a wonderful clientele who value our role in their families. It is not unusual for us to care for pets from multiple generations of a family. We have a solid reputation–regularly earning 5 stars and maintaining a 98% rating for “would refer a friend.” That’s how we get most of our new clients. You could be proud to work here.
We’re a strong team, where everyone is valued and respected. We have a good time and work every day to be better than we were the day before. It is a place where you can have a real impact on the way care is delivered and on the lives of the people and pets we serve.
We have a low turn-over rate and are increasing our staffing because we’re growing and have one staff person moving to per diem to spend more time with family. Most of us have been here more than 5 years, some even 15-20. For the health of our patients and the sanity of our team members, we’re looking for the right person to round out the team—and we’re willing to take our time to find the right fit. We want whoever we add to the mix to be happy here for a long time.
This role includes medical reception, customer service, administrative projects, sales and cash handling, inventory management, triage and patient scheduling. If you are warm, friendly and easy going, can exceed client expectations, and have a proactive approach to managing controlled chaos, you’ll fit in well. This role demands the ability to work in a noisy, sometimes chaotic environment where each project you begin will be interrupted. You’ll be successful in this role if you are able to take notes for yourself and reliably bring each task to completion while maintaining your composure.
