Our busy, state-of -the art, American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited small animal hospital is seeking a full-time veterinary technician to join our team. Our team includes three doctors and a terrific medical and boarding staff. We are located in the east valley in a free-standing, beautiful building. We are a small animal practice and we do treat exotic and avian pets. We practice high quality, compassionate traditional and holistic veterinary medicine.
We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, a great attitude, a team oriented personality, an excellent work ethic, and a love of pets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: being a responsible multi-tasker proficient in drawing blood; handling and preparing samples for the lab; IV catheter placement; taking radiographs; assisting with and monitoring anesthesia; dental prophy and dental radiographs; assisting with ultrasound, laser therapy and acupuncture; fluid administration; animal restraint; pharmacy duties, excellent documentation and record keeping; client education; and other tasks.
Certification is desirable, but not required. We prefer at least one year of experience; however, we will consider current technician students. We offer competitive wages and benefits, dependent upon education and experience.
