Potter County Veterinary Clinic is offering veterinarian positions to qualified candidates. We are primarily a small animal practice located in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, a small but welcoming rural community. Our practice has been providing care to companion animals in Coudersport and surrounding areas for nearly 30 years. We are the only clinic in the county and have over 10,000 patients, and that number is growing every day! We are currently a single-doctor practice that treats mainly small animals but we do some large animal work as well. We’re progressive and pride ourselves in providing outstanding care to each and every patient and the people that bring them in.
Potter County is the outdoor-lover’s dream location; we have 8 state parks, thousands of acres of state forest land, opportunities to horseback ride, kayak, stargaze, fish, hunt, cross-country ski, ride ATVs, and engage in small town community at one of our various seasonal festivals. We are still close to many urban areas but far from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Our hospital is equipped with a full in-house lab, cornerstone practice management software, “vet-mobile” for farm calls, im3 Elite dental equipment, and digital x-ray. We have 3 exam rooms and a spacious surgical suite. We could offer full time or part time work, whichever is desired. The full time position offers 40 hours from Monday through Friday with weekends off, and possibly an on-call rotation. Part time veterinarian schedules can be tailored to suit the applicant. We have an outstanding team that would make any newcomer feel right at home, plus we’re willing to expand/modify to explore or suit your interests!
Salary is negotiable. Full Time benefits include a sign-on bonus, healthcare allowance, liability insurance, paid licensure, paid continuing education, in-house pet care allowance, paid vacation/sick days, association dues, and IRA. The ideal candidate for this job is self-motivated, has strong communication skills, a good sense of humor, sound medical and surgical knowledge, the ability to build rapport with clients, and a drive to provide quality and compassionate veterinary care. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Please contact Megan, our practice manager, at (814) 274-0857 or email us at email@example.com. We look forward to speaking with you!
