Waukesha Walk-In Vet is located in the beautiful city of Waukesha, WI located: 1710 Paramount Drive
As you walk into our wonderful clinic you will be greeted by our beautifully decorated clinic and our amazing staff who will make you feel right at home.
We have 4 exam rooms, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, in-house laboratory and surgery area. We also see exotic pets ranging from snakes, lizards, rats, gerbils, hamsters, reptiles and pocket pets!

The Assistant Manager must be able to provide leadership and training to the medical support staff in the operation of our hospital in accordance with hospital policy. Additionally, this shall be done in a respectful and polite manner, regardless of circumstance. While under the supervision of the practice manager, the territory manager and other support management staff, an assistant manager must be able to effectively and accurately perform the job duties.

Take part in job shadows, recruiting and interviews related to the evening technical staff and provide feedback to the hospital manager as needed
Provide detailed orientation, training and development of the skill base of the technical support staff through the use of the training program
Act as the immediate contact person for all technical support staff members when they have questions regarding technical skills
Provide guidance to the support staff to assure that the shift flows well, by delegation of tasks and prioritization of procedures and treatments, keeping skill level in mind
Monitor technician/receptionist participation in client services, phone calls, histories, discharges and client visits
Review treatment sheets and medical records to ensure standard of care is met by technical staff
Recognize staff members for a job well done, participate in positive reinforcement
Mentor employees for career advancement and personal development towards goals
Provide input to the hospital manager for employee performance evaluations or performance corrections. Participation in reviews may be required.
Provide leadership on shift in cases of changing technical coverage needs
Provide adequate coverage in the case of vacations or staffing changes
Maintain effective schedules, keeping overtime in mind
Develop and lead or co-lead staff meetings
Manage and resolve staff member breaks, absences, and other scheduling conflicts
Manage call-ins and physically cover shifts as needed.
Manage down time activities
Manage inventory on the floor and report to the hospital manager
Help upkeep and oversee management of equipment
Manage any client complaints
Manage the staffing schedule
