We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated, and experienced full time Veterinary Technician to become a long-term member of our team. We are a service-focused practice with an emphasis on preventive care, advanced dentistry, surgery, and comprehensive diagnostic protocols. We utilize our technicians to their fullest potential. This is a great opportunity for growth for an outgoing, personable, hard-working, and detail oriented technician who wants to utilize their technical skills and medical knowledge in a fast-paced environment. We offer a full in-house lab, digital radiography, advanced dental techniques, advanced anesthesia monitoring including BP, ECG, SPO2 and End Tidal CO2 and sevoflurane anesthesia.
Responsibilities: Technician duties include: Surgery & Dentistry : perform dentals, induce, monitor, & administer anesthesia and make adjustments as necessary, prep & recover surgery and dental patients Treatment : use low-stress animal restraint skills, set-up & run in-house diagnostics, conduct blood draws, place catheters, and give IV, IM, & SQ treatments, provide compassion and care to hospitalized patients
Appointments/Client Care : assist during appointments, write medical notes, provide exceptional client service and client education in both well and sick pet appointments
Full or part time candidates are considered. Saturdays are required.
Qualifications: The successful applicant has 1-2 years of experience as a technician in a small animal hospital, exceptional technical skills, enjoys and excels at educating clients, has a client-focused attitude, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn. CVT certification is a plus.
