We’re growing for all the right reasons. We’re a three doctor small animal practice on the southern coast of Maine. We’re a fun, down to earth group of committed veterinary professionals. We have a good time and work every day to be just a little better than we were the day before. We’re a strong team, where everyone is valued and respected. It is a place where you can have a real impact on the way care is delivered and on the lives of the people and pets we serve.
We’ve spent the last 30 years building a wonderful clientele, who value our role in their families. It is not unusual for us to care for pets from multiple generations of a family. We have a solid reputation–regularly earning 5 stars and maintaining a 98% rating for “would refer a friend.” You could be proud to work here.
We have a low turn over rate, despite local opportunity. Some of our staff are fairly new. Most have been with us more than 5 years, some even 15-20. For the health of our patients and the sanity of our team members, we’re looking for the right person to round out the team. We’re willing to take our time to find the right fit. We want whoever we add to the mix to be happy here for a long time.
We’re looking for candidates with strong Vet Tech skills and ability to jump in. We are willing to do specific training for candidates with strong general Tech skills. Surgical, dental and laser skills are appreciated, but not required. Must be able to manage all the standard physical aspects of being a Vet Tech or Assistant, such as lift cats and dogs of various sizes, handle standard pet food sizes, and stand for long periods of time.
