Wills Animal Hospital is an established, privately-owned 5 doctor small animal practice that provides comprehensive preventive, medical, surgical, and dental care in a collaborative and team-focused environment. Wills is a family-friendly practice that is highly focused on supporting a positive mental health culture while providing quality, patient-centered care.
We are seeking a veterinarian who will build trust with pet owners, be a positive presence on our team, and is eager to grow as a clinician.
Compensation, Benefits, and Schedule
We offer a base salary of $100,000+ with monthly pro-sal bonuses (no negative accrual) as well as a generous benefits package. Benefits include health/dental/vision/life insurances, supplemental insurances, paid vacation, paid sick leave, professional licensing & dues, annual CE allowance, personal pet discounts, relocation assistance, hiring bonus, and retention incentives.
Our doctors work a 4-day week and the office is closed on weekends. Catch up slots for records and call backs are scheduled daily. After hours emergency care is currently offered to up-to-date patients and is split between 6 doctors. Surgical, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and emergency referral services are within a hour's drive.
Facility and Staffing/Professional Support
Our 9000 square foot facility includes 7 exam rooms, a consultation room, large treatment area, 2 separate “quiet” treatment rooms for anxious patients, a large break room, and boarding space with a large, fenced areas.
Wills is equipped with the following: In-house IDEXX lab equipment (including ProCyte, Chemistry One, Sedivue, and SnapPros), Vetscan Imagyst, Digital radiology (including dental imaging), VetScalpel Surgical Laser, Samsung HS40 Ultrasound, Icare Tonovet Plus, Companion Animal Therapy Lasers, Lift tables throughout hospital, Cubex for controlled drug inventory management, VetRec – AI Powered Veterinary Notes, Phovia
We are always trying to find new ways to expand the services we can offer and are happy to support any special interests you may have.
Each doctor is provided their own workspace with Cornerstone access. We strive to keep a high staff-to-doctor ratio with each doctor having a personal technician each day. Our staff includes dedicated surgical, lab/pharmacy, and treatment technicians.
Location
Wills Animal Hospital is in Owensboro, KY which is 2 hours west of Louisville, KY, and 2 hours north of Nashville, TN on the banks of the Ohio River. We are the 4th largest city in the state with a population of 60,000 and are known for our beautiful river front, festivals, parks, bluegrass music, and barbecue.
