Our team specializes exclusively in emergency care. Current Hours & Future Growth
- Mon - Thu: 6 p.m.- 8 a.m.
- Fri: 6 p.m.- 12 a.m.
- Sat & Sun: Open 24 hours
We’re expanding to 24/7 operations in January 2026, which means even more flexibility and opportunity for our team.
Your Role: Emergency Veterinarian
As an Emergency Veterinarian at Animal Emergency of South Orange County, you’ll join a talented, supportive team that shares your commitment to providing the highest standard of care for every patient, every time.
You’ll have access to an expansive network of specialists, mentors, and clinical leaders ready to collaborate and support your growth. Our advanced diagnostics and treatment capabilities empower you to deliver modern, evidence-based emergency care.
We’re seeking an experienced ER veterinarian or internship-trained doctor who values teamwork, clear communication, and compassionate medicine.
When you need to rebalance, you’ll have access to Thrive’s mental-health resources and flexible scheduling options - so you can care for yourself as well as you care for your patients.
Compensation
We offer a competitive, no-negative-accrual PROSAL model that rewards both your time and your talent. Annual range: $165,000-$230,000 base plus production (dependent on experience and skill set). Additional compensation opportunities available through shift differentials and expanded hours.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent
- Active California Veterinary License (or eligibility prior to start)
- Active DEA license or eligibility
- Rotating internship training or equivalent ER experience preferred
