About You
You’ll provide excellent, in-the-moment care when patients need it most. You’ll hone your ability to triage and assess critical needs - with a team to back you with support and lean on our community to shift in schedule or role.
- Willingness to care for sick and injured patients who arrive on an emergency basis, along with managing hospitalized patients
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans
- Oversee technicians who are carrying out plans
- Perform surgeries, provide critical care, and ensure a high level of service for all patients
About the Hospital
Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists, Mansfield, is staffed with emergency veterinarians and technicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. All emergency clinicians are well-versed in emergency procedures and surgery. We are able to perform emergency procedures and surgeries at any time of the day or night. We also provide medical oncology and radiation oncology, providing comprehensive cancer care under one roof.
At Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists, Mansfield, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care for you and your pets at any time of the day or night. Our goal is to work closely with your primary veterinarian to achieve fluent and seamless patient care, ensuring that we provide the outstanding treatment your pet deserves and your veterinarian recommends.
We offer a full range of emergency services, including in-house bloodwork, digital X-ray, anesthesia, surgery, oxygen support, blood and plasma transfusion capabilities, digital radiology & ultrasound, and endoscopy.

A suburban city in Texas, Mansfield is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area. There is always something to do in this area, whether it’s grabbing a bite to eat at a local restaurant, doing a little shopping, or having fun at one of the spectacular attractions. When it comes to fun, you will find recreation and sports, music festivals, and holiday celebrations. Mansfield is 10 minutes from the beautiful countryside and not far from the big cities, and boasts breathtaking landscapes, quaint towns, and has something for everyone to enjoy.
Experience & Skills Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
- State Veterinary Board License:
- Active and in good standing for the state of intended employment
- Obtained prior to start date
- Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
- Experience in emergency medicine, including work experience, small animal rotating or emergency internships, is strongly recommended.
Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual PROSAL model. Full-time range starting at $170,000-$190,000/year, with a sign-on bonus and relocation allowance if applicable. The actual salary offered will be carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
