Job DescriptionManaging Veterinarian
/nSwan Creek Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Managing Veterinarian to join our/nsuccessful and growing practice. Joint ownership is optional.
As the Managing Veterinarian, you will lead a team of/nveterinarians, ensuring delivery of quality medicine and fostering a strong/nculture of teamwork. Your role will involve coordinating cases, overseeing/nclient communication, establishing protocols, and providing staff education.
This position blends clinical and administrative/nresponsibilities. You will spend approximately 5 hours per week on/nadministrative tasks. We’ll provide six months of management training, virtual/nmeetings with operational leaders, and on-site meetings with other Managing/nVeterinarians and Hospital Managers for both professional development and/nsocial activities.
Our practice, established in 2007, is a valued member of the/nHarford County veterinary community. Originally opened as a satellite office of/nChurchville Veterinary Clinic, we continue a tradition of comprehensive and/naffordable medical, surgical and dental care for our four-footed friends. We/nare currently comprised of 3 full-time and 3 part-time veterinarians and/nprovide a broad range of services including an in-house lab, digital dental/nradiography, laser therapy, dentistry, diagnostic ultrasounds, EKGs, and soft/ntissue surgery.
At Swan Creek, we emphasize continuing education, enhancing/nour service offerings, and clear communication and education of our clientele./nYou’ll join a supportive, growth-oriented team environment where we prioritize/nexcellent patient and client care.

- Base salary: $115,000–$160,000

Location & Lifestyle:
/nOur clinic is located in Historic Havre de Grace, MD, at the top of the/nChesapeake Bay on the Susquehanna River. Enjoy a balanced lifestyle with/noutdoor recreational opportunities, easy access to Downtown Baltimore (≈45/nminutes), Washington D.C. and Philadelphia (≈90 minutes), and the beaches of/nRehoboth and Ocean City (under 3 hours).
Qualifications & Requirements:
/n
- DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college or/n successful completion of ECFVG or PAVE certification
/n
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in/n Maryland and DEA license
/n
- Leadership skills, strong client communication,/n ability to establish protocols and mentor staff
/n
- Commitment to fostering a team-oriented environment/n and delivering high-quality veterinary care

Relocation benefits are not available for local moves (e.g., short-distance moves within the same metro area).
