Position Overview

Join the Team at The Animal Hospital at Babcock Ranch as a part-time Associate Veterinarian-- Looking for someone 1-2 days per week!

The Animal Hospital at Babcock Ranch is seeking a passionate and experienced veterinarian to join our team just outside Fort Myers, Florida.

As a key member of our growing team, you'll have the opportunity to practice your best medicine in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility (opened in 2023!). We provide full-service veterinary care to the vibrant and expanding community of Babcock Ranch, with the support of a dedicated 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio and the latest in medical technology. We are looking for a veterinarian who shares our commitment to excellence and compassionate care.

Qualifications (Required)

• Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
• Current State Veterinary License
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained
• 3-5+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care.
• Excellent Communication Skills and the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff.
• Client communication skills, must be able to elicit information, establish rapport, offer explanations with pet owners.
• Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain.
• May include some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work.
• Position does require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
