Hampden Family Pet Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, is hiring an experienced, Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to lead their INCREDIBLE technical team!

We proudly serve the communities of Englewood, Littleton, Denver, Aurora, and Lakewood, offering comprehensive medical and surgical services, including acupuncture, orthopedic and laparoscopic surgery, and specialized care for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and reptiles. About You
This role is responsible for leading and maintaining a technical staff that embodies the core values of Empathy, Service, Accountability, Team, Exploration, and Joy. In collaboration with the Practice Manager, the position oversees the training, performance, scheduling, and evaluation of technical staff within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and elevate Veterinary Technicians and Assistants within the hospital aiding individuals and teams reach their full potential.
- Partner with the hospital leadership teams to identify goals, gaps, opportunities, and help effective solutions.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and implement optimal nursing processes, workflows, and systems.
- Coach veterinary technicians and assistants to strengthen critical thinking skills, clinical confidence, and decision-making.
- Mentor, and develop nursing talent, supporting surgery, dental, inpatient care, exam room flow, and value communication.
- Coach team members through conflict management and difficult conversations. Model, mentor, and foster:

- Professionalism and an emotionally intelligent workplace culture.
- A collaborative, team-based approach to care.

Minimum Qualifications
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Colorado
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership, management, or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.
- Proven contributor within a high-functioning, collaborative, and effective team.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional technical nursing skills with the ability to model best practices.
- Ability to influence, coach, and inspire without direct authority.
