Vail Valley Animal Hospital is looking to add a full-time Registered Veterinary Technicians to their team!

Vail Valley Animal Hospital - Edwards is a trusted veterinarian in Edwards, CO, proudly serving pets and families across Edwards, Avon, Vail, and Eagle. Our dedicated team provides compassionate care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets, offering comprehensive veterinary services including wellness exams, vaccinations, urgent care, diagnostics, and surgery. Whether you’re looking for routine preventive care or advanced treatment, our experienced veterinarians are here to keep your pet healthy and happy.

As a Veterinary Technician you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• Required: Active LVT, RVT, CVT (active and current state license)
• Experience working as a veterinary technician (direct animal/patient care required)
• Desire to practice empathetic, gold standard medicine benefiting our patients
• Team oriented with an ability to collaborate and support each other
• Are paw-sitive, kind and provide trustworthy communication to the patients, team members and clients.
• Have the desire to constantly grow and advance as a veterinary technician!

Role Responsibilities:

Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.

With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.

• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $23-$27/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
