Fourth-year vet students are encouraged to contact us early!ASSOCIATE VETERINARIANJob SummaryIn addition to the responsibilities outlined below, the Associate Veterinarianis an invaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with a ManagingDoctor and supporting medical staff. This individual advances the quality ofmedicine in the practice and provides exceptional client service to our clientsand patients.Job Responsibilities
Builds rapport with clients bygathering information and listening to, and empathizing with theirconcerns
Performs physical examinationsand diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highestquality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Communicates with clients ontopics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, andnutritional needs.
Maintains client/patientmedical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are keptup-to-date through established protocols.
Stays current on new medicalinformation and changes in veterinary medicine.
Assists in the development ofthe paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality careand exceptional client service.
Presents a positive image ofthe hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
Candidate must be a graduate of an AVMA-accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification programor the PAVE certification programLicensure in good standing topractice in the state of Montana
Commitment to practicing thehighest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
Demonstrates excellent verbaland written communication skills.
Works collaboratively withhospital team members.
Makes decisions confidently andeffectively.
Manages time and tasksappropriately.
Models a professional andcourteous manner with staff and clients.
Commitment to ongoingeducational development and growth
