Salary range of $180,000 to $220,000 + Production and Sign-on Bonus
Full-time opportunity in West Bridgewater, MA
Full-time starting at only 9 overnights per month

Our ER DVMs collaborate closely with highly skilled nurses, support staff, and specialists in ECC, IM, and SX in-house, as well as additional specialty teams across Ethos Veterinary Health.
We are committed to providing mentorship, development, and support to help all of our team members achieve both professional and personal fulfillment. This includes:
- Offering ER Immerse mentorship program for early career DVMs
- Sponsoring ER ABVP Guided program for experienced ER DVMs
- Piloting and helping develop Ethos's ASCEND program for nurses
- Training and graduating support staff through Ethos's Approved Veterinary Assistant program
- Providing on-site surgical training for ER DVMs who want to level up their surgical skills
- Offering up to $100,000 in Educational Loan Repayment over 3 years of tenure for ER DVMs
- Supporting wellness plans and 1:1 engagement for individualized support and development of each person on our team

ER ABVP Guided Program - The ER ABVP Guided program offers a path that meets you where you are, allowing you to reach your emergency career goals without the need for an internship. Ideal for any emergency practitioners within the Ethos network looking to deepen their expertise in emergency practice. This path lets you stay in your current Ethos network hospital, enjoying your full wages and benefits while practicing at an Ethos hospital and pursuing board certification.
In your day-to-day, you will:
- Work a consistent, predictable overnight schedule.
- Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
- Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
- Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
- Cut soft tissue surgeries, if desired, with additional training and support available.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
- Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred.
- Mentorship options are available through ER Immerse for new grads and doctors crossing over from GP or urgent care.
- Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
- A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency veterinary medicine.
