Full Time Emergency Veterinarian Opportunity in Wilmington, NC
Schedule: FT rotating

We are a busy and expanding referral practice committed to providing exceptional veterinary care. Our team includes 8 full-time Emergency Veterinarians collaborating with a robust group of specialists in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Surgery, Anesthesia, and Sports Medicine/Rehabilitation! Our team and clients are supported by an in-house Licensed Clinical Social Worker, offering counseling and resources for stress, grief and loss, and mental well-being.
Our state-of-the-art, 15,000-square-foot facility features:
- Two digital radiography units for high-quality imaging
- Ultrasound for advanced diagnostics
- In-house IDEXX laboratory systems for quick and accurate test results
- 4-slice GE CT scanner for comprehensive imaging
- Endoscopy for minimally invasive procedures
- MRI

- $160k base salary with 25% production, commensurate with experience
- No negative accrual

In your day-to-day, you will:
- Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
- Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
- Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
- 1-2 years of emergency experience or internship training (preferred)
- A strong desire to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-oriented environment
- A commitment to delivering excellent patient care and building strong client and RDVM relationships
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
- Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Surgical proficiency preferred
