SRH Veterinary Services, a family-owned mixed animal practice, celebrating 75 years, in Ipswich, MA, is seeking a full-time Small Animal Veterinary Technician to join our team.

Our ideal candidate has at least three years of small animal experience in a fast-paced veterinary environment and is skilled in providing surgical assistance and general practice care.

As a small animal technician, your primary responsibilities include assisting doctors with appointments, handling laboratory samples, radiology, preparing and dispensing prescriptions, and communicating with clients via telephone and text. Potential for anesthesia and surgical responsibilities after initial training or to a qualified candidate. We are a ‘paper-light’ practice and use Cornerstone as our practice management software.

Requirements

-Skilled, confident technician who thrives in building relationship with clients and patients, and surgical/dental anesthesia to qualified applicants
-Comfortable working with a diverse caseload, including chickens and exotics (bonus points if you love them already)
-Strong communicator who connects well with both coworkers and clients
-Calm under pressure, adaptable, and reliable when things get busy
-Physically capable of patient handling and on-your-feet clinical work
