Licensed Veterinary Technician - EmergencyPilchuck Veterinary Hospital
Snohomish, WA
Full-time: Overnight shift || Thursday-Saturday 7pm-8am--flexibility for 4-10-hour shifts

We have proudly served the Pacific Northwest since 1963 as a full-service, multi-species practice. With more than 20 doctors and a team of 75+ staff members, we provide professional veterinary care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We are proud to be AAHA accredited, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of veterinary excellence.
Our hospital is well equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, MRI, multiple fully equipped surgical suites, telemetry, and comprehensive ICU facilities designed to support complete inpatient care. We also maintain a robust in-house laboratory.
Our team includes receptionists, veterinary assistants, licensed veterinary technicians, and doctors working together to deliver excellent care to our patients and clients. We believe the best care is provided in an environment that fosters learning, teamwork, autonomy, accountability, and a little laughter every day.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Active/pending LVT license in WA state
- 2 years of continuous veterinary technician/assistant experience (direct animal/patient care required)
- Desire to practice empathetic, gold standard medicine benefiting our patients
- Team oriented with an ability to collaborate and support each other
- Are paw-sitive, kind and provide trustworthy communication to the patients, team members and clients.
- Have the desire to constantly grow and advance as a veterinary technician!

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $28-36/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. A generous hourly shift differential (between $1 and $4 per hour).
