Chastain Animal Clinic has been serving the Smyrna community since 1954, earning the trust of generations of pet owners through exceptional medicine and compassionate care. In 2025, we opened the doors to our brand-new, state-of-the-art, 6,500-square-foot hospital, creating an incredible opportunity for a Managing Veterinarian to lead a thriving team while continuing our long-standing tradition of excellence.

- Approximately 6,500 square feet of thoughtfully designed clinical space
- Separate dog and cat waiting areas to reduce patient stress
- 2 feline exam rooms with a dedicated feline treatment area
- 8 canine exam rooms
- Comfort room with a private exit for compassionate end-of-life care
- Isolation room with separate entrance and exit
- 2 fully equipped surgical suites
- Dedicated dental suite with 2 wet tables
- Spacious treatment area with abundant kennel space
- Digital radiography and digital dental radiography
- Ultrasound for FAST scans
- Full anesthetic monitoring equipment
- Phovia laser therapy
- In-house and reference laboratory capabilities through IDEXX
- Avimark practice management software
About the Role
As Managing Veterinarian, you'll combine clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities by:
- Providing high-quality medical and surgical care
- Mentoring and supporting fellow veterinarians and hospital staff
- Promoting a collaborative, positive workplace culture
- Helping guide medical standards and hospital growth
- Partnering with hospital leadership to achieve operational success while keeping patient care at the center of every decision
- Also open to discussing an associate role
