Position Overview
As an Emergency Veterinary Nurse, you are the backbone of our clinical floor. In this role, you will drive efficiency, safeguard patient care, and act as a critical bridge between clients and our medical team. By managing exam rooms, capturing vital triage data, and communicating care seamlessly, you play a pivotal role in creating a streamlined workflow that minimizes distractions for our DVMs.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Floor Efficiency: Manage exam rooms and case flow efficiently, allowing the DVM to focus entirely on advanced diagnostics and medical decision-making with minimal distractions.
Lead Critical Triage: Rapidly assess incoming patients, gather accurate triage information, and prioritize cases to ensure lifesaving care is delivered when it matters most.
Provide Elite Nursing Care: Deliver high-quality emergency and trauma nursing to critical patients, including placing IV catheters and administering emergency medications.
Own the Surgical Suite: Confidently monitor anesthesia and assist veterinarians during high-stakes emergency surgical procedures.
Utilize Advanced Diagnostics: Perform advanced laboratory diagnostics and digital radiography to help solve complex medical puzzles quickly.
Champion Seamless Communication: Work closely with the nursing team and doctors to communicate care plans seamlessly, keeping the entire clinical floor aligned.
Be a Compassionate Guide: Communicate empathetically with clients during highly stressful situations, providing clarity, comfort, and regular updates.
Maintain Clinical Excellence: Keep accurate, detailed medical records to ensure flawless continuity of care across shift
Requirements
Who We Are Looking For
Experienced Veterinary Technicians (RVT preferred but skilled assistants are encouraged to apply).
