Description
Looking for a veterinarian to add to our independently owned practice! We are a progressive mixed animal practice located east of Columbus. We have a need for a full time or part time small animal veterinarian. An interest in surgery is not mandatory.
Competitive pay with an earning potential of $80-150,000. Plus commission! 2-3 day work week, rotating Saturdays with 4 other doctors. We pay for licenses, DEA, professional memberships, & a CE allowance. 3 weeks vacation, 1 week paid sick time, and CE days. Flexibility can be shown on the exact working arrangement. We do not require candidates to be interested in surgery or dentistry.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal health and well-being, possess strong veterinary skills, and exhibit compassion towards animals, their owners, and our healthcare team.
Refugee Canyon strives to provide top medical care to our patients by utilizing the best medicine. We have full IDEXX in-house lab suites at each location, digital radiographs for small, large and dentistry, and an ultrasound machine. Our registered veterinary technicians are highly skilled to help assist in all needs. This keeps you free to be a doctor!
We have two locations; our main clinic is in Hebron, Ohio with a second one located in Pataskala. You could work at one of these locations or both. The clinics are both paperless and efficient practices to help utilize your time well. We also regularly bring in an internal medicine doctor to provide ultrasounds and consultations. We are proud of the high quality care we provide!
The staff believes in helping people and animals in the community. We routinely work in conjunction with community outreach with vaccine clinics for the elderly and some high volume spay and neuters.
We have hosted numerous veterinary & technician students in the past and would consider taking another. You will get a variety of experience with great mentorship!

*Qualifications:**
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree
- State licensure to practice veterinary medicine
- Strong knowledge of veterinary practices, procedures, and techniques
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques, laboratory procedures, and veterinary terminology
Requirements
*Duties:**
- Perform medical examinations and diagnosis on canine and feline patients and educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans.
- If interested, perform surgeries and dental procedures as needed
- Although our doctors are rarely in this situation, can provide emergency care and critical care when necessary, with the ability to work well under pressure during emergencies.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients while keeping communication with the client about their pets’
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and staff to ensure quality patient care
