Description
Grand Animal Hospital in San Diego, CA is seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. You will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative care for companion animals while building strong client relationships through education and clear communication. This role offers exposure to diverse cases, modern equipment, and opportunities for professional growth in a supportive environment focused on patient-centered, empathetic veterinary care for pets and their families.Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop diagnostic and treatment plans for companion animals
Interpret laboratory results, radiographs, and other diagnostic imaging to guide medical decision-making
Perform routine and soft tissue surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and wound repairs
Provide dental care including oral exams, cleanings, extractions, and interpretation of dental radiographs
Deliver preventive care, including vaccinations, parasite control, nutrition counseling, and wellness planning across life stages
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about diagnoses, treatment options, prognoses, and home care instructions
Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely electronic medical records for all patients
Collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service staff to ensure efficient, team-based patient care
Participate in case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and practice protocol development
Assist with triage and stabilization of urgent or emergency cases when needed
Engage in continuing education and professional development to maintain and enhance medical and surgical skills
