The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of animal care, providing high-quality medical services to our small animal community. This role requires not only technical expertise but also excellent communication skills to educate pet owners about their animals' health and well-being.

Duties

• Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose health issues.
• Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
• Perform surgical procedures and dental work with precision.
• Utilize laboratory equipment for diagnostic testing and analysis.
• Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
• Provide guidance on animal husbandry, nutrition, and general care.
• Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during examinations or treatments.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate pet owners on preventive healthcare measures, including routine check-ups.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
• State veterinary license in good standing
• Strong knowledge of animal physiology, husbandry, and handling techniques
• Excellent communication skills with pet owners and team members
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and current best practices in pet care
