Description
Riverbend Animal Hospital is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant to our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Our friendly environment means you'll be part of an AAHA accredited hospital who has an excellent team-based approach to medicine. Located in Hadley, Massachusetts, we provide wellness, medical, dental, & surgical care to the surrounding towns, including Amherst, Northampton, South Hadley, and beyond. Veterinary Assistant
Riverbend Animal Hospital in Hadley, MA
$20.00-25.00 hourly pay rate based on experience
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
- Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
- Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
- Perform physical assessments and record your observations
- Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
- Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
- Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered
- Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery

REQUIREMENTS
- 1 plus year veterinary experience or education
- Team-oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Individual clinics to add info that's specific to their hiring needs
