Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Veterinary Cardiologist with an interest in interventional procedures to join our dynamic specialty hospital in Houston, Texas. You'll have the opportunity to practice advanced cardiology within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment supported by sophisticated diagnostic imaging and a dedicated Interventional Radiology Suite.
At GCVS, you'll do more than practice-you'll grow, collaborate, and help shape what's possible in veterinary medicine. You'll work in an environment where advanced medicine, mentorship, and teamwork come together to deliver an exceptional experience for both patients and clinicians. Our 60,000-square-foot hospital features two dedicated Philips echocardiography systems, including an EPIQ CVx with 3D and TEE capabilities, a Philips PageWriter TC70 ECG, Holter monitoring, cardiac-gated 128-slice CT, onsite 3T MRI, C-arm, and advanced ultrasound. Our newly remodeled Interventional Radiology Suite is equipped to support a variety of advanced cardiac procedures.

In your day-to-day, you will:
• Provide advanced cardiology care for a diverse caseload of veterinary patients.
• Perform and interpret advanced cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiography, ECG, Holter monitoring, and advanced imaging.
• Perform and develop expertise in interventional cardiac procedures based on clinical interests and experience.
• Utilize advanced cardiac imaging capabilities, including 3D echocardiography, TEE, and cardiac-gated CT.
• Collaborate closely with Surgery, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Anesthesia, and other specialty services.
• Utilize the newly remodeled Interventional Radiology Suite to support advanced minimally invasive procedures.
• Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians through consultation, communication, and continuing education.
• Participate in clinical education and mentorship of interns, specialty interns, residents, and support team members.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology.
• Interest or experience in interventional cardiology procedures.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.
