Compensation: Base salary $200,000-$250,000 plus production

Founded in 1996, Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency Service is an AAHA-accredited hospital with a long-standing reputation for providing exceptional emergency and specialty care. As Medical Director, you'll have the opportunity to influence hospital growth, support clinical excellence, mentor fellow veterinarians, and help shape the future of specialty services while maintaining an active clinical role.

Our collaborative environment provides access to specialists in Anesthesiology, Surgery, Neurology, and Internal Medicine, creating a dynamic setting where teamwork and knowledge-sharing are central to patient care. This multidisciplinary approach allows our clinicians to provide comprehensive treatment while continually learning from one another.

• Competitive compensation with greater of production or base salary
• Production compensation at 25%
• Medical Director stipend of $1,400 monthly ($16,800 annually)

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Provide advanced specialty care within your area of expertise.
• Partner with hospital leadership to support strategic growth, operational excellence, and clinical quality initiatives.
• Mentor and support veterinarians, interns, technicians, and hospital team members.
• Foster a collaborative culture focused on communication, engagement, and continuous learning.
• Participate in hospital development initiatives that enhance patient care and the client experience.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during complex and emotional medical situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Washington veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification or residency training in a veterinary specialty discipline.
• Previous leadership experience is valued but not required.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative leadership style that supports team development and engagement.
• A commitment to exceptional patient care and advancing veterinary medicine.
• A passion for mentorship, continuous learning, and building strong professional relationships.
