Apex Veterinary Specialists is seeking a full-time veterinary technician to join our dentistry team in Greenwood Village, CO. Join a compassionate and knowledgeable team of people, all with a passion for veterinary dentistry & anesthesia!

Skills include, but are not limited to:
- Previous experience working with a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist (preferred).
- Proficiency in anesthetic induction, maintenance, ventilator use, monitoring, recovery, and equipment setup (preferred).
- Experience with dental prophylaxis, periodontal probing, charting, and digital dental radiography (preferred).
- Skilled in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy.
- Administration of medications via PO, SQ, IM, and IV routes.
- Strong medical math skills, including medication calculations and fluid rate calculations.
- Provide exceptional preoperative and postoperative nursing care.
- Excellent animal handling and low-stress restraint skills.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, including surgical instrument preparation and sterilization.
- Proficient in common in-house laboratory procedures, including PCV/TS, blood glucose, CBC/Chemistry analyzers, and microscopic evaluations.
- Deliver outstanding client communication from patient admission through discharge.
- Strong communication, electronic record-keeping, organizational, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced specialty practice.
The salary for this position begins at $26+ per hr and is adjusted based on an applicant's skills, background, and previous work experience.

Requirements
This position is full-time, with a schedule of 4x 10-hour shifts per week, 7am to 5pm. No weekends or after-hours on-call required, ever! Seriously!
We strongly prefer applicants with an active veterinary credential. However, we may consider qualified, experienced veterinary assistant applicants.
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to the hospital location in Greenwood Village, Colorado 80111.
Applicants must be comfortable sitting and standing for extended periods and be able to safely lift up to 30 pounds.
