Description
Animal Medical Center of Tyler is seeking a full-time, experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated, hard-working team! We are a progressive practice providing high-quality medical care to companion animals and exotics. Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferred
- LVT/RVT/CVT preferred but not required (experience is highly valued)
- Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical support skills
- Proficient in catheter placement, blood draws, and laboratory procedures
- Experience with digital radiology and dental radiographs preferred
- Strong client education skills with confidence discussing treatment plans, preventative care, and discharge instructions
- Excellent medical documentation skills with the ability to produce thorough, accurate, and timely medical notes
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-focused environment
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and oversee patient recovery
- Perform laboratory diagnostics and imaging
- Provide thorough client education and discharge instructions
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and compliant medical records that reflect high medical standards
- Support preventative care protocols and compliance
- Contribute to a supportive, accountable team culture
