About You
You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious paꢀents. Your
life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and
performing laboratory tests, to support services including admittng and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills
- Veterinary technician licensure preferred but not required
- 1-2 years of clinical experience
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology
- program preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that
- provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preston Animal Hospital is looking for a Technician Assistant to join us as part of the Thrive Pet
Healthcare community.

About The Hospital
Preston Animal Hospital is a small animal general practice located in Morrisville, NC focusing on routine
pet care, surgery and dentistry. Our hospital has a warm working environment and a high-end client
base. We pride ourselves on excellent client communication and education. Dependability, work ethic
and desire to grow are all equally important.
We are open Mon- Fri 7:30am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm, serving the Morrisville and Cary
NC area.
You’re Willing And Able To
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
- Draw blood samples using proper techniques
- Place IV catheters
- Take x-rays
- Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize producꢀvity and maintain posiꢀve
- patient flow
Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Pracꢀce Act
outlined for credenꢀaled veterinary technicians
- Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice
- systems
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized
- treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs
- Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $16 -
$19/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills,
qualifications, experience, and location.
