Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of veterinary technician experience and demonstrate a strong commitment to animal care and welfare. This role involves providing high-quality support to veterinarians, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring the well-being of a diverse range of animals. The Veterinary Technician will play a vital role in maintaining a compassionate, efficient, and professional environment dedicated to pet health and client satisfaction.
Duties
Assist veterinarians with clinical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgical interventions, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
Perform animal restraint and handling for various species, including dogs, cats, equines, and small mammals, utilizing proper animal husbandry practices.
Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses.
Maintain detailed medical records and document all treatments, observations, and procedures accurately.
Prepare animals for surgery or diagnostic imaging such as X-ray, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet grooming or pet care tasks as needed.
Handle animal catheterization, administer medications, and monitor critical care patients with veterinary expertise.
Contribute to client education by explaining pet care instructions related to animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology.

Requirements
Minimum of one year of veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology.
Experience with kennel management, dog training, pet grooming, and animal handling techniques.
Proficiency in laboratory procedures and familiarity with X-ray technology.
Ability to perform animal restraint effectively while maintaining safety for both animals and staff.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques necessary for surgical preparation and infection control.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients on pet care topics such as animal husbandry and veterinary procedures.
Demonstrated competence in animal catheterization, dental terminology, and critical care practices involving animals such as equines or small mammals is preferred.
