Key Responsibilities:
Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and temperature.
Medication Administration: Accurately dose and administer critical care drugs, fluids, and pain management.
Emergency Response: Perform CPR, administer oxygen, and stabilize critical patients in emergency situations.
Collaboration: Work closely with veterinarians to follow treatment plans and adjust care as needed.
Diagnostic Testing: Perform routine diagnostic tests such as blood work and blood pressure readings.
Advanced Therapies: Administer oxygen, blood transfusions, and mechanical ventilation when necessary.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in a veterinary hospital setting, including emergency, intensive care, or specialty services, is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating advanced medical equipment, such as ventilators, ECGs, and infusion pumps.
Medication Administration: Ability to accurately dose and administer critical care drugs.
Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication with veterinarians, team members, and pet owners.
Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring patients, keeping records, and following treatment protocols.
Emotional Resilience: Capability to handle high-pressure situations and provide compassionate care.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation and Benefits:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $55.00 per hour
Premium overnight compensation
15% overnight differential for weekday overnight shifts
20% overnight differential for weekend overnight shifts
Additional $3.50/hour Friday & Saturday overnight differential available to qualified candidates, stacked on top of the weekend 20%
